Racha Noi Dive Site information for Phuket Scuba Divers
Racha Noi Island itself has to main locations North and South and it depends what time of year you visit to where you can dive, from October to April the West coastline is favoured by most boat captains however around April they tend to favour the East coastline protected from the westerly monsoons.
Just over 2 Hrs 30mins from Phukets Chalong marina Racha Noi South Tip was once regarded as a dive site only visited by Liveaboards however its now classed as a day trip site, but you may find it hard to find a boat heading here as currents are incredibly strong being both vertical and horizontal running Northeast to south west and versa in directions so the site itself dictates that only very experienced divers should dive here.
Mariina Bay Dive Site information
Marina Bay (AKA Maritas Rock) has large submerged granite rocks that are covered with mixture of sea whips, fire coral and rocky boulder swim through's (21m-23m) and around the hard and soft corals the usual reef-fish, if youre lucky you should be able to sight small reef sharks, but the main attraction is probably the presence of large parrotfish.

The site is approximately two hours 30 mins from Chalong Bay. A reasonable multi-level dive site, which takes divers around pinnacles and large rocks, theres a plateau south of the island that has many rocky out crops and large boulders.
The site has soft corals growing on smooth sides of the rocky boulders here you will find Crinoid's and colourful Long Arm Feather Stars, lion fish, Bearded Scorpion Fish, Wrasse, Triggerfish, in deeper waters look for Leopard sharks, White tip reef sharks, as well as Manta Ray's and Whale sharks that are often seen around this Island.
