Manta Queen 5 Similan and Surin Island Liveaboard
The Manta Queen 5 is a popular liveaboard diving vessel offering a budget-friendly way to explore the stunning dive sites of Thailand’s North Andaman Sea. Operating from October to May. The boat departs from Khao Lak on 4 day/3 night trips to the Similan and Surin National Marine Parks. Fantastic diving is gauranteed with a great chance of seeing large pelagic marine life.
The 23-meter-long boat accommodates up to 20 guests in 10 air-conditioned shared twin bunk bed cabins. There are three shared full bathrooms as well as showers on the dive deck. The vessel prioritizes a relaxed and comfortable experience with ample space for guests to unwind between dives. You can lounge on the sundeck, enjoy meals in the open-air dining area, or relax in the saloon.
The trip itinerary takes divers to renowned sites like Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and the spectacular Richelieu Rock, with an optional visit to the Boon Sung Wreck. These areas are teeming with diverse marine life, including leopard sharks and blacktip reef sharks. For an additional fee, Nitrox is available for certified divers.
A major highlight of the Manta Queen 5 is the crew. With five dive staff and six boat crew, the team is consistently praised in reviews for being helpful, friendly, and professional. The onboard chefprovides delicious, fresh, buffet-style meals, with snacks and drinks available throughout the day. Dietary requirements, including vegan and vegetarian options, can be accommodated.
Overall, the Manta Queen 5 is highly recommended for divers seeking an organized, enjoyable, and value-for-money liveaboard experience in Thailand, especially for those new to liveaboards or traveling on a budget. The boats focus is on excellent service and a fantastic diving experience rather than luxury accommodations.
