Local Diving at Kata Beaches

We encourage you to engage in local diving at Kata beach and discover a great local dive site 80m from our shop, the kata beach south reef is situated right next to our store with a short swim over the sandy bottom, although this is seasonal scuba diving best between December and April there are still some days where the waterers calm enough to dive between June and August. The kata south reef is ideal for spending a few hours for local diving while staying in the area and is used mainly for easy fun dives, night diving, and scuba course training dives. Marine life at the local dive site includes cuttlefish, parrotfish, various eels, sea moths, pipefish, lionfish, barracuda, turtles, and squid, and is a favorite spot for macro & underwater photography. The reefs are reasonably shallow with a walk-in entry from the beach that slowly drops off to 12- 14m this is often the turnaround point
